Seminar Presenters:
John J. Will QUIK ROCK: Are you tired of the frustrating process of making artificial rock for pedestals, ledges and other dioramas? This seminar is for you! We will have fun showing you how to impress your clients, increase your earning potential and save you time and mess using Quick-Rock for your habitat needs. I've been doing this for years, and the response from customers has been spectacular. We will build an artificial rock ledge with your help and actually have fun doing it. You don't want to miss out on this one guaranteed to help you business and save you time.
Alan Stancill TRUCAST FISH FORMS: Alan, a taxidermist for over 29 years, has personally mounted thousands of fish in his career. He has tried all of the methods known to taxidermists down through the years including filler methods, sack cloth, carving, as well as all the current forms on the market. Currently, there are many forms to choose from, but they all have on thing in common they are carved and are sized by progressive dimensions, not by actual fish. This means that when you order your form, and mount your fish, the anatomy will be off balanced. Not every bass has the big "pot belly" look what do you do then? You spend valuable time sanding the form, getting frustrated in the process, and ending up with a product that doesn't reflect the quality of work that you could deliver. Tired of trying to "force a fit" - Alan began tediously casting each fish size and mking his own line of foms that are cast from actual fish. It has been a long process, but the results are TRUCAST a difference you can see! Alan's seminar will consist of a discussion on fish anatomy while demonstrating the skinning and mounting techniques of a large mouth bass from start to finish on a TRUCAST form. This seminar will also conclude with a question and answer opportunity for the participants. Alan offers seminars through conventions as well as "in the shop" sessions to anyone interested in learning the techiniques he has acquired through years of experience.
Joe Ferebee MCKENZIE TAXIDERMY SUPPLY: Joe will be presenting a seminar on mounting a woodduck drake in a standing position.
