“Please be advised that there is an ongoing recall regarding canned human food and pet food products produced by Castleberry Food Company in Augusta GA. This is a Class 1 Recall for Clostridium botulinum. The initial recall was limited to several canned hot dog chili sauces but has now been expanded to include additional human food products produced on a specific production line that also produced at least four types of one brand of canned pet food (Dick Van Patten’s Natural Balance Pet Foods in Pacoima, CA). At the present time no pet food products have been found positive for Clostridium botulinum, but the recall has been issued out of an abundance of caution. Multiple retailers in Pennsylvania who may have received these pet food products have been contacted regarding the recall. For more information on the recall please go to http://www.fda.gov/bbs/topics/NEWS/2007/NEW01670.html.”
