IMPORTANT: NTA ELECTION INFORMATION

Your vote has NEVER been more critical.

There is currently a lot of unrest in the leadership of the NTA. Some of the present leadership do not have the best interest of the NTA membership in mind. Enclosed are the political standpoints of some very capable candidates.

Please read and cast your vote in the manner that you think is best for the NTA.

1. The NTA has never been audited. Our candidates will make this a priority.

2. The NTA by-laws seriously need to be brought up to date. Our candidates will work toward this goal.

3. Our candidates will not ignore or manipulate around directives from the Board.

4. Currently, NTA headquarters stuffs the ballots in envelopes and labels them, then the CPA mails the pre-stuffed, sealed envelopes. Our candidates would like to see the CPA handling the whole process, thus avoiding even the appearance of impropriety.

5. Our candidates will work toward a contract for Executive Director that includes term limits and that is approved by the board BEFORE it is approved by the ED, instead of the other way around.

6. Our candidates will work toward allowing those running for board and officer positions to post their political platforms in the biographies that are included with the ballots.

7. Our candidates will NOT be involved in name-calling or slandering of any officer, board member or NTA member and will adhere to the NTA code of conduct.

8. For years, fine board members have been resigning because they see the futility in trying to change things for the better.

We would like to see a change. We would like NTA leadership to operate with the best interests of the membership at heart, and to do so in an open manner. The candidates have their contact information listed and would welcome the chance to talk with you.

If you agree that it is time for a positive change, please cast your votes accordingly. Thank You.
